Beekeeping training on the Isle of Dogs   

George Green's Extended Services is offering a 22-week training course in beekeeping for adults living and working in the E14 area. The first course of its kind to be delivered at George Green's School Community House, Brian McCallum of Urban Bees, a leading expert in the field of urban beekeeping will be delivering this specialist course starting from March 2012 right up until the end of summer.

The training course will allow you to;

  • Gain hands-on experience and knowledge in beekeeping
  • Learn about the behaviour of bees and how urban beekeeping can help to maintain
  • the number of bees in the capital
  • Have the opportunity to volunteer as a beekeeper and maintain hives at George
  • Green's Community House
  • Gain the knowledge and experience to set up and maintain bees on your own site

Course Details

When: Every Tuesday from 20th March 2012
Location: George Green's Community House, E14 3DW (Saunders Ness Road)
Time: 6.30pm – 8.30pm
Cost: £50 non-refundable deposit (heavily subsided by IDCF)
Age: 18+ living or working in London E14 area *
